Growing up, I watched my friends get their hair done at salons and wondered what it would be like to be behind the chair. When I was 12, I spent time in the hospital and received a free makeover—it gave me such a boost of confidence, and I knew then that I wanted to create that feeling for others. Being part of Beauty & the Beach lets me do just that while empowering me personally and professionally.

What I love most about working here is the people. In beauty school, I learned to “love what you do,” but this salon taught me to “love who you do it for.” Seeing my guests light up when they look in the mirror is the ultimate reward. I don’t feel purpose unless I’ve made someone feel special because people never forget how you make them feel.
